[The bum from CVS] You know not of what you speak. I have known Boggie Bob for many, many years. He’s not a bum at all. Boggie Bob has been around for a long time. He ask nothing from anyone. He has a very sweet sister who, like Bob, does not have to work. You see Boggie Bob Is a trust fund baby. His choice is to sit in the sun and read. No more, no less. I find it amazing that anyone has time to mind Boggie Bob’s business. You may want to watch your mean words. He may buy the house next to you just to put several benches on the lawn. Which he or may no keep trimmed and start a book of the month club. You just can’t tell a book by the cover.

[Home Sewer Plants] Now I am really confused. After attending a number of meetings with the county and FKAA, I have been told that those of us, mostly on Big Pine Key, would be required to provide power in addition to plumbing for the grinder/pump stations being built on our properties and it would be no more than that required by a simple light bulb.  Now I read in one of our local newspapers that as home owners we would be required to get a plumbing permit to hook up our lateral connections, a permit to abandon our existing septic systems, and then we will have to get the electrical permit to install a dedicated 220 volt, thirty amp service. 

I do not know about you but this is more than a simple light bulb and my service panel is so packed now that I do not have room for an additional 220 volt thirty amp circuit.  It seems like every time I turn around the requirements just keep changing, and that is not for the better.

The personal use of county owned vehicles in the sheriff’s department has some validity.  I know a person that has used our county owned vehicle for everything for the last eleven years that I know of.  He has even given up owning a car!  That means no insurance to pay, no fuel costs, no maintenance costs, no vehicle expenses at all.  Heck, all he has to do is make sure he keeps his driver’s license current.  Sounds like a pretty good perk. Some urban legends are founded on facts and many are just myth. 

[Question for tech types] Our HDTV Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ77U, 50 inch flat screen is about 4 years old. Now some flesh tones around the center of the screen are starting to show green blotches. Is it time for a new TV?

At the funeral for fallen soldier Sgt. Johnson, a Westboro member decided it would be smart to stomp on the American flag. A soldier did not take kindly to that and broke through the line, hitting one of the protesters that was disgracing Old Glory. As he was being arrested, two other soldiers rescued the flag. The first video was filmed by a friend of mine, the person you see jumping around with the flag is also a buddy. The second video was made by another person there to protect the funeral it is a little clearer. The person you see jumping around right before the soldier runs in and clocks the member is a friend of mine. [Election Rigging] I was reading a really interesting book last night, one of the short stories in it was about a politician who was an incumbent, but unpopular at the moment when the elections were coming around. The other politician’s in the Senate considered him bad luck and wouldn’t acknowledge him. The local newspaper ran editorials against him, and went so far as to send him a letter suggesting he shouldn’t run again. Knowing that his two other opponents could beat him by virtue of the voting block demographics, with his associates blacklisting him, and the local paper determined to crush him, most would pull out and not bother to run. But in a stroke of genius (or insanity)  he hired 6 more people to run against him.

These were the “vote splitters”. It’s not an unknown process, but one that politicians typically don’t want exposed — and one that potentially can be as harmful as it could be beneficial. The way it turned out, the six were able to split the vote enough that the unpopular incumbent was re-elected by a mere 11 votes. The vote splitter process came to light when one of them filed a suit against the politician after the election because he didn’t give the splitter the job he had promised him.

And in the Truth is Stranger than Fiction Department — The incumbent went on to serve multiple terms afterward, he had the respect of his associates for his daring and genius, and the local paper had to acknowledge that he wasn’t as dumb as they had surmised. 

When the author, who was the local newspaper editor, published the book the politician called him and said he liked the story, but was disappointed he hadn’t used his real name. 

And we wonder why our system is so screwed up.

[The Movies] How many times can a weapon holder rack a round in the chamber in a movie? chuchunk! cuchunk! How come all the cops rack their weapons at the same time, are they the Rack-Your -Weapon Drill Team? I’ve seen actors rack the weapon once and then in the next moment, when the action starts, rack another round — and the already chambered round doesn’t! They’re doing it just for the sound losing any weapons credibility with me.

Another cliché is any metal coming out of a sheath –any metal. It could be a vinyl chrome toy knife and it’ll– szinggg! out of the shieth. Weather it’s an ancient Samurai sword or a two dollar steak knife in a druggies pad — sziiiiingg!

[“Response time is sure important to me”] Really? Then be ready to take care of yourself until help arrives unless you’re having a medical emergency that takes you out of the equation. Law enforcement’s job is no longer to protect and to serve. That’s an old Supreme Court ruling and the decals declaring such are no where to be seen on marked police units.

Law enforcement officers, enforce laws, take reports and conduct investigations that sometimes catch bad guys who they lock in jail and enter into the legal system for adjudication by the courts. If you think a call to 911 when someone is in your house or threatening you is going to bring the cavalry, it won’t. That only happens for members of the “thin blue line” club. Your best bet is to be proactive and be your own first responder. Keep a good fist-aid kit for your family members in the house, a shotgun next to the bed and Serv-Pro’s phone number programmed into your phone. Serv-pro claims they clean it up like it never happened.

Suing my electric co-op for airspace to pay lawyers for frivolous suits with tax money from my other pocket is stupid, insulting, and expensive. Can the present County Commissioners be impeached? Enough is enough. Spend my money on the roads or state mandated sewers. 

When I look at and listen to the politicians of today, all of them, I am always reminded of the line in Pirates of the Caribbean, “Hello puppet”.

Mitt Romney is a Mormon and their doctrine is against war but for following kings (non-Mormon kings, I guess). Mormons also believe in lying in defense of their religion! [VP Debate] Thanks to Joe, we finally got some truth and real facts into the debate. If the Republicans win it will be by falsehoods and pie in the sky wishes.

[Both Ways] In the VP debate Joe Biden claimed that the intelligence services didn’t have any information, even right after the attack, about whether or not is was a terrorist operation.  Yet, he also said that we would “absolutely know” when Iran was on the verge of having an atomic weapon (which would also seem to be a function of the intelligence services).

Well, Joe, which is it?  Are they incredibly bad or incredibly good?

The Right really has their dander up over Joe Biden schooling Paul Ryan. They are calling Biden rude. Heres whats rude. Dont stand in front of the country and downgrade a stimulus plan when you yourself asked for funds and sent a letter praising the plan. Thats as rude as a person can get. Ryan should have been laughed off the stage. Joe made Ryan look like a man with bumper sticker materials not a man ready do be 1 step away from the Presidency. Politics isnt a politically correct game. Im amazed at how thin skinned the right is.

[Fair and Balanced] The morning after the VP debate FOX News reported what people were Tweeting and produced five or six Tweets, but every one was against Biden implying that there were no positives.

There’s much speculation on why president Obama kept his head down so much during the debate. Al Gore speculated perhaps Obama needed more time to adjust to Denver’s high altitude? What if president Obama had an awakening after hearing Romney speak? That’s when that little voice inside his head said “Hey Barack, it’s really going to’ suck moving back to Chicago in the winter & pay heating bills again, isn’t it?”

 Then the voice added, “You do remember bombing Libya& helping to kill Muammar Gaddafi, Rev. Wright’s & Rev. Farrakhan’s good buddy, don’t you? Plus you threw them both under the bus too! With Louie & the Panthers just up the road, will we be able to sleep at all? “Whatcha’ gonna do when they come for you bad boy, bad boy?” Hey, maybe they’ll forgive & forget?

[VP Debate] Friday night’s debate was a disgrace. Biden’s agenda was to beat Ryan up, hoping to gain a couple of points in the media’s polls. He managed to make a mockery of our system and to show the world the face of an ugly American. The issues that we’re facing were largely ignored by Biden, supported by his anchorwoman. Do all the liberals out there really believe Biden was being honest? He blew off the deaths of Americans in Libya, then threw the DoD under the bus. He played the 47% mantra and implied that Ryan and Romney are liars. The last debate between Biden and Ryan was about as childish display as two grown ups could engage in I don’t care what political persuasion one subscribes to, but to make stupid gestures and facial expressions while the other person is presenting his side of the debate is downright stupid, I for one will forego watching these exercises in nonsense if this childish behavior is allowed to continue, these are suppose to be adults and they are supposed to be discussing life and death situations, the debate was like two children in a playground where one sticks his tongue out at the other for making remarks that he or she don’t like, I watched the debate to see if I could uncover the thinking of the candidates, instead we were treated to disgustingly boorish behavior. If my child behaved this way in a high school debate I would be ashamed.

If Romney wins it looks like we will be on our way back to the Dark Ages.  Forget about all that complicated, socialistic, “scientificky” weird stuff like Evolution, Global Warming, Sea Level Rise, Greenhouse Gases, Green Energy,  Environmental Protection, etc.  He will probably elevate the nutsy-coocoos like Palin, Bachmann, and Cain to positions of power to make sure you do forget, or at least don’t talk about it. 

As far Social issues go, forget about Abortion Rights,  Birth Control, Unions, Social Security and Medicare as they are now.  Romney will probably arrange a full meeting at the United Nations where he will yell at everyone, while shaking his fist at them, that they better do things his way or else, because he is making our armed forces big enough (no more birth control, remember) to take them all out.  Exceptional Americauber alles!  It’s going to get weird out there.

After reading the posts concerning the VP debate, it is hard to believe they were not written by the same poster.  The Democrat and Republican slandering on this blog is akin to first graders fighting over a crayon color.  And to think these people Vote?

On Friday a poster wrote: “The Persian people have a right to exist and live their lives in accordance to their beliefs and customs.”  That poster was writing about Iran and its nuke program. That poster is of the belief that if Iran wants nukes, because it is a sovereign nation, it is none of the business of any other nation.  On first blush, at first glance, that is a very appealing notion. But the real story is deep and dark.

Iran is not just another peace loving country that is anxious to be a contributing member of the world community of nations. Nope, it is not.  Iran is run by an ultra-fanatical religious oligarchy that is determined to impose its religious laws on every single human on the face of the earth. That is not just a political goal, their religion demands it.Iran’s religion is fully committed to the notion that their Prophet, Mohammed, will return to earth and deliver all of his faithful to heaven only when there is an apocalyptic world shattering event.Iran’s leaders are anxious to be the providers of that event.Iran’s oligarchy has no fear of dying, or wreaking havoc on their people, while in pursuit of their religious beliefs. To them  death is a sacrament to be cherished.Iran’s leaders are fully and totally committed to the destruction of Israel, the extermination of all Jews, a worldwide caliphate wherein Sharia Law and fundamental Islamicism rule. We know all of that because they have repeatedly told us all of that.

Deer Friends, Iran is not a rational power, it is a nation led by fanatics who are eager for nuclear conflict. They must not get nukes.

The Obama foreign policy is more than just series of simple screw ups, it has placed us in grave danger. Team Obama brags that they have imposed the greatest sanctions in Iranian commerce, ever. That’s nice, but it hasn’t worked. Iran now has more centrifuges in place than ever before. They have not slowed their nuke program, they have increased it.

Iran has hardened their facilities so that it may be nearly impossible to attack them with conventional bombs. Biden’s tut-tutting that Iran has no way of delivering nukes is patent bull. They now have missiles that can hit much of Europe and the Mid-East. The USA is very vulnerable to nuke strike delivered by freighter, or private boat, or private plane. Any fisherman who routinely fishes 20-30 miles offshore will verify that. Any private pilot with experience in flying to the Bahamas or Mexico will verify that. Any drug smuggler will verify that. A nuke strike on the US will be nearly impossible to stop.

Iran’s surrogates, AQI, et al, are eager for martyrdom in the delivery of a nuke to US soil. They don’t fear or respect us. Their scorn for us is monumental. They actually attempted to assassinate the Israeli Ambassador to the US on US soil. Iran has made repeated cyber-attacks on US interests, and promises to increase their ability to wreak havoc on our nets.

Iran continues to be the primary well spring of jihad terrorism. That terrorism, fomented by AQI and it allied groups are the wind that blew in the Arab Spring. Now, Muslim fundamentalists are well on their way to full control of the Mid East. Today, the single ally that we can count on in the Mid-East is Israel. Mr. Obama has gone out of his way to distance himself from that multi-decade  partnership.

Part 2) The Nixon and Clinton administrations usually come to mind when one is thinking about Presidential deceit.  Soon, when the Obama administration is history, it will be finally recognized as the most deceitful administration in history. The recent VP debate is an excellent example. Biden’s buffoonish behavior was eclipsed by his untruths. It is possible, just possible, that Biden is such a clown that he actually believed some or most of them.  Let’s take a look at just a few of the falsehoods that we all heard.

Once again we heard the massive lie that Obama ended the Iraq war. He did not. The date for the end of the Iraq war and the conditions of the end of the war had been settled by a treaty executed by Iraq and GWB. Obama’s only role in the entire end of the war was to stay the hell out of the way. Certainly Biden knew his claim to be false.

Biden passionately told us during the debate that he had voted against the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. He said: “I was there, I voted against them,” Biden continued. “I said, no, we can’t afford that.” That was not true.  That statement was either a naked lie, or Biden has lost his memory. Neither is to be desired in the man who is a heartbeat away from the presidency.

As to the Afghanistan war:  Absolutely contrary to his claim, then Sen. Biden voted FOR the Afghanistan resolution on Sept. 14, 2001 which authorized “the use of United States Armed Forces against those responsible for the recent attacks launched against the United States.”

As to the Iraq war:  Absolutely contrary to his claim, on Oct. 11, 2002, Biden voted FOR the resolution authorizing unilateral military action in Iraq. Both of those votes can be found by looking at Link

Deer Friends, Biden is a chronic, but piss poor liar. Or he is daft. As an aside, then Senator Hillary Clinton also voted for both incursions.

Biden passionately told us that neither he nor Obama were aware that more security was needed atBengasi. Deer Friends, Team Obama is the loser on either side of that statement.  There is absolutely no question but that Mrs. Clinton’s State Department had been repeatedly begged for more security. Those requests had come from the murdered Ambassador Stevens, on the ground State Department officials, and the military.  All the pleas were rebuffed and those who asked for help were rebuked. Charlene Lamb, the person responsible for worldwide embassy security personally denied the requests. It’s worth noting that our Consulate in theBarbadoshas better security than didBengasi. Lamb reports directly to Mrs. Clinton.  It’s patently apparent that the decision to leaveBengasiunguarded was a political decision. Team Obama wanted to foster an image of theUSAas being kind, benevolent, and non-threatening.  That’s worthwhile, but not to the extent that it convinces our enemies that we are helpless.Clintonhad to know the threat level.Clintonhad to know the lack of security, she accepted the risk. IfClintonknew, Obama knew.  IfClintonknew and Obama didn’t know,Clintonshould be fired. Obama should have known. Rational people can only conclude that Obama himself knew of the threat.

Biden exacerbated the Bengasi falsehood by again insisting that Obama, for a full week after theBengasiassault, had no reason to believe that the assault was anything but mob havoc. Deer Friends, we now know that is not just simple nonsense, it’s untrue. We now know that while the attack was in progress the aforementioned Charlene Lamb admitted that during the attack she was watching in progress security camera video and was in full time telephone contact withBengasiofficials throughout the attack. We know now that the attack consisted of two assaults, several hours apart and at two separate locations about a mile apart. Lamb knew that when the attacks were in progress. Even a school child would have recognized that the attacks were a well-coordinated para military assault.

Because Lamb knew,Clintonknew. BecauseClintonknew, Obama knew. The attack was a massive strike against the Obama claim that AQI etc. have been vanquished by the killing of Bin Laden. Obama made a panicked, but conscious decision to lie. Now, Obama continues that lie, and is trying to dump blame for the entire affair onto the “intelligence” community. To paraphrase Mrs. Clinton:  To believe that Obama did not know that the assault was a well-organized paramilitary operation, while the operation was in progress, one must suspend disbelief. Only a fool could believe that the assault was a mob out of control. Obama is no fool. To add incredible insult to an avoidable tragedy, the first questioning of Obama after the murders was on the David Letterman show, more than a week later.

Biden claimed that Obamacare will provide more benefits to we Seniors that does Medicare. He says that to justify the looting of $700+billion from Medicare to fund Obamacare.  That claim is obscenely untrue. The CBO, Team Obama’s CBO, tells us that for every $500 that Obamacare spends on preventative services and prescription drugs, cuts the rest of Medicare by over $7,000.

Biden denied the fact that Obamacare would diminish the amount and quality of existing care for the elderly. The truth is that Obama’s own Medicare actuary testified to Congress that under Obamacare, “….15%of hospitalization providers would become unprofitable within the 10 year projection as a result of the spending cuts.” The spending cuts he referred to are the $700+ Billion that Obama is taking from Medicare to fund Obamacare. Deer Friends, unprofitable hospitals either degrade service or go out of business.  It’s probable that Biden didn’t even know any of this, and even if he did, he would not have understood it.

Biden claimed that the Romney tax plan favored only big business and would not help small businesses. The fact is that according to the IRS most small businesses pay taxes based on individual rates, hence a hike for high wage earners, for them, is a big hike on their businesses. The tax hike on them will further inhibit their businesses growth. It’s very possible that Biden didn’t know this either. He may have thought he was speaking the truth.

The constraints of space preclude further listings of Biden’s falsehoods.  Maybe later.

Many wondered why Obama chose Biden as VP.  Biden most definitely is not the equal of Obama in intellect. Biden has a richly deserved reputation as a screw up and buffoon. Perhaps one factor in that decision was that Biden is fully capable of being gulled. Perhaps Biden’s reputation as being a loyal party liner was a factor. Perhaps Obama wanted a loyal yes man, a man to carry his bags, and a man who would do what he was told without question or concern. Whatever Obama’s reasons were, I sure hope that nothing happens to Obama as long as Biden is our VP.
