Healthy ‘Gatorade’ — Homemade Electrolyte Sports Drink
7 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup lemon juice (squeeze lime juice in bulk, and freeze 1 tablespoon-sized servings. Add one cube to this mixture)
1 tablespoon lime juice
¼ cup honey (or 1/4 teaspoon clear liquid stevia, 1 teaspoon powdered stevia extract or 1/4 cup agave nectar )

Mix the salt, baking soda with water until dissolved. Add lemon and lime juices, and sweetener and shake well to combine. Store refrigerated for up to a week.

Version 1.1
In place of the lemon and lime mixture
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Version 1.2
Electrolyte water
1 quart water
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon potassium chloride (salt substitute)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons raw honey
Fresh lemon juice to taste
