Mojito

This video is from the bar in old Havana, Cuba that made mojitos famous. The first time I had a mojito they had a bushel basket filled with fresh mint behind the bar and the bartender would grab a handful and twist off a bunch and stuff it into the glass. They didn’t have an ice maker then so they would chip ice from a block with ice picks. When the place was busy the whole bar was wet and scattered with bits of melting ice because of the three bartenders chipping at the block. The floor was wet too.

At one point I was struck in the calf with a fan blade that had flown off the ceiling fan. Everyone laughed.
