an lie bible

Just where do we get this “word of God” we hear so much about? From bibles written almost two generations after His death by people with faulty and sensational memories? If it was the word of God it wouldn’t be ambiguous it would be perfect. (now I’m ready for the excuses that always follow from the dreamers)

[Hero] Ed. responded yesterday to a writer questioning why Diana Nyad is called a hero. Ed did something absolutely insane. He looked up the definition. Hero. 1. a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. 2. another term for submarine sandwich.

So, I went over to Pizzaworks and ordered a Diana Nyad hero sandwich. They told me I was nuts. So, I guess Diana Nyad’s accomplishment falls under the first definition.

Shark Petting Tank] When I was a kid my best friend at the time, Tommy, and I practically lived at the old docks and the aquarium. Mallory docks were still wood although in serious need of repair, they were partially collapsed. We used to catch pinfish behind the aquarium and toss them into the main floor tanks shown in the picture. Life was so much simpler then.

[Yeah God!] There’s only so much reading of the smug, ignorant views of those who consider themselves atheists I could take before I had to say something. I hold no truck or trade with religious charlatans who use their faith to extort money and preach elitism. That has nothing to do with God and faith and hopefully they will be judged at a time and place not determined by me. But you rabid atheists, who denigrate those of us who hold God in our hearts, reveal your ignorance when you speak of an imaginary old man in the sky. Really? Are you 5 years old? Many of us have moved on from that concept of the divine. Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Desmond Tutu, Jesus, Moses. These were people with a deep and abiding faith who used it to change the world for all mankind. What did you do today with your holier-than-thou atheism?
Anti-religious zealots are as bad as liturgical fundamentalists in their fashionable left wing absolutism. There is so much intellectual laziness behind what passes for religion bashing today. People who like to attack religion think they’re being risqué. Most of their arguments are just conformist and insipid.

[Cheapo R/V Tourist] Vacations in the Keys used to be great until you people raised the prices of everything so high no one can afford to go there now. Drinks average $8 and food is so expensive eating out is a no no. Room rents are ridiculous and parking a camper costs more than a cheap hotel. We understand you have an “Off Season” but you have to realize you work in a tourist industry and cannot expect to make a full year’s wage like real working people do, in only four to six months. With three kids, it will be a long time before we come back down to visit again.

Hear Jimmy Webb‘s guest star-packed album,”Still Within the Sound of My Voice,” prior to its release Sept. 10th.The guest list is pretty impressive. Lyle Lovett, Carly Simon, Keith Urban, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Joe Cocker, Marc Cohn, America, Kris Kristofferson, Amy Grant, Brian Wilson, the Jordanaires and Art Garfunkel all take turns at the mic, while top-shelf pickers like Paul Franklin and Jerry Douglas handle the instrumental parts. [Cameron Mitchell Aztec Chowder] Cameron was the longhair high school class president years before I was there who never graduated but owns a very successful group of restaurants in my hometown of Columbus, Ohio. 2 cans small white beans /Large 32 oz carton of organic broth/1 package of Murray’s organic groovy boneless chic breast cut into ½” strips/1/2 onion chopped/1-2 roasted and chopped and seeded pablanos or jalapeños (If you don’t like peppers. I thrown in 2 ribs of celery chopped or all of the above) /Cumin/Nutmeg or cinnamon /Butter, maybe 4 tablespoons/Olive oil. Maybe 4 tablespoons/1 cup milk

Cook in oil and butter until onions and peppers and celery are translucent. Add chicken until it begins to brown

Take one can of beans, drain, put in the blender and cover with 16 oz of broth. Liquefy. I usually add cumin and nutmeg at this time before the liquefied mixture. Cook until you can deglaze with sherry or sugar cooked within, rice vinegar is good too!

Add mixture, Simmer Season to taste. Add rice wine vinegar (fixes all soups). Then add 2nd can of beans. Drained and rinsed

Cool, add  1 cup of milk. Heat and finish

Serve with crumbled nacho chips on top or on the side.Or corn bread and hash browns. I like to put rice on it and spicy nachos on the side. You can get some badass ground habanero powder at the tea and spice exchange on Front St. which is good if you really like hot pepper flavor. Link

jury duty

[September 5th Was Jury Rights Day] Jries exist because you have a conscience, and there is no requirement that jurors reach a verdict – if one person believes the prosecution failed to meet their burden or the law is unjust he or she can “hang” the jury and deliver no verdict. A word of caution – it’s a good idea not to mention the word “nullification” at all, from start to finish of your jury experience, even to other jurors.

[Friday Joke] An Alabama pastor said to his congregation, “Someone in this congregation has spread a rumor that I belong to the Ku Klux Klan. This is a horrible lie and one which a Christian community cannot tolerate. I am embarrassed and do not intend to accept this. Now, I want the party who

said this to stand and ask forgiveness from God and this Christian family.”

No one moved. The preacher continued, “Do you have the nerve to face me and admit this is a falsehood? Remember, you will be forgiven and in your heart you will feel glory. Now stand and confess your transgression.”

Again, all was quiet.

Then, slowly, a drop-dead gorgeous blonde with a body that would stop a runaway train, rose from the third pew. Her head was bowed and her voice quivered as she spoke, “Reverend there has been a terrible misunderstanding. I never said you were a member of the Ku Klux Klan. I simply told a couple of my friends that you were a wizard under the sheets.”

[“Diana Nyad – Hero”] Thanks for posting the definition Deer Ed. I know we typically think of war heros. I would say she definitely qualifies as a hero under the first definition other than being a man. [Captain Doom and Gloom] This country, in fact the world, is becoming the Matrix. It’s not the fact that siphoning collection (spying)  is taking place.  It’s that the junta can pick and choose whom to target and for what reasons.  The control aspect is disturbing, not the collection.  You have have nothing to hide, you need not worry.  Wrong?  Why?  Because it can come and bite you later. P.C. or not P.C., that’s the question.  For submissive types who hedge their bets, it’s all OK.  Beyond their control anyway, eh!

This just out on the wire from Snowden: NSA circumvents encryption in websites, Internet messaging, says new evidence.

The industry (health, banking, etc) has to comply with the laws enacted and then all is for naught. NSA must have been co-opted by either a genealogy business or the Mormons (why Utah for the storage building). In the end a human has to do something with all this information so I could care less. All this money spent on encryption, decoding, analyzing, etc, what happens when personal conversation comes back into vogue? [Obamacare AARP Rates Way Up] Even if they do go up it’s worth a small increase to have every American covered. I think if they eventually work it right all insurance will go down. I disagree with the poster’s numbers because all those posts are always way over exaggerated to spark emotion.

Why is the right so concerned and deeply troubled about what other countries think of us? I could give a flip what the hell Syrians in the street, Arabs around the world or what people on the street of Somalia think about us. The right is so crushed that other counties don’t love us and send us all flowers everyday. We read on here daily how other countries are laughing at us. Well,  look around you wont hear any laughter from Bin laden anymore. Nope not a peep from Bushs buddy Ghadafy anymore. Listen hard you will not hear any laughter coming from the hundreds of Al Queda members that have been removed by drone strikes. The right all of a sudden wants to be loved and doesn’t want those people in other countries to dislike us. Boo Hoo. Pull up your big boy panties Conservatives theirs bigger fish to fry then “Wahhh the Arabs and other worldwide despots are laughing at us”. Screw them. Don’t be so niave that you don’t think whenever they hear a sound from the sky they are not jumping and covering. It wouldn’t surprise me if a group of Conservatives went to Syria to be human shields so they wont laugh at us. The right has really changed for the worse. They have been turned from concerned Americans to the largest bunch of Anti American whiners in our history. Fact is when the troops went in and removed Bin Laden they looked on his satellite T.V. and the Sean Hannity show was on. Birds of a feather.

[“I hate both political sides and wish I could find a middle of the road guy”] If you are in Florida, try registering as a ‘no party affiliation’ Independent. I did years ago and now I can hate both parties, all the candidates, I only have to go to the polls once as you can’t vote in primaries and can criticize everyone in both parties. What a great country!

[“AARP and Obamacare”]  AARP is not about helping senior citizens, it is a major corporation whose only goal is profit from gullible old people. If you listen to them they are one of the biggest supporters of AARP and only AARP, not seniors. They make their money selling their name to others and have lobbyist’s out the kazoo to influence our weak-minded congressmen/women on how they should vote. If they were for seniors, Obamacare would not have passed, nor would many other laws holding seniors lifestyle in limbo. Look at how they spend their money, how they get their money, and how well they pay their officers and lobbyists. They were against Medicare D, then once it was passed found out how to make money from  it. They are shysters.  Live and learn.

hole6[Taxpayer-funded regime propaganda] $41 million total for PR campaign with your tax dollars to push affordable healthcare that’s anything but affordable. Obama Administration to ppend $12 million on ads touting Obamacare in a dozen Republican-led states. The Obama administration is readying a multimillion-dollar onslaught of ads in a dozen red states to encourage Americans to sign up for Obamacare insurance exchanges. CMS has reserved at least $12 million in airtime starting Sept. 30 in Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Louisiana and Michigan.

All but one, Missouri, are led by Republican governors — including many who have been hostile to the health law — and even in Missouri, a Republican-dominated legislature has set an anti-Obamacare agenda. The number of states and the total cost of the ad campaign are both expected to grow with the approach of the enrollment period that begins on Oct. 1. The administration awarded a $41 million PR contract to the firm Weber Shandwick earlier this year to promote participation.

I sure hope Putin doesn’t challenge Obama to an arm wrestling contest.

[God] Ah yes the journey into infinity, the liberals playground, a poster states that to believe in a god is irrational, that may well be, but tell me then what are the persons credentials to dismiss perhaps 3 or 4 billion others of being irrational, that to me would smack itself of one desiring to act or be a God.

bingo6

Do not fear Obama, as he is but a fool, and only one fool at that. Fear the 140 million (added up to show 160 million) that voted for him, that is the problem that America, as we know it, has to deal with. One fool is no problem, but 140,000,000 / 160,000,000 fools is probably far too many to overcome.

It seems the Republicans are all up in arms because they have to take a stand on something important, not just criticize Obama. Seems Obama is giving them what they asked for and they don’t like it, here is a quote from the letter sent to him prior to his requesting Congressional approval, “Engaging our military in Syria when no direct threat to the United States exists and without prior congressional authorization would violate the separation of powers that is clearly delineated in the Constitution,” wrote Rep. Scott Rigell (R-Va.) and signed by 22 members of congress, 21 Republican.

For the past 5 years the Republicans in Congress have been living by the motto, “If I don’t do anything I can’t do anything wrong”. Problem is you can’t do anything right either! Now is the chance for them to take a stance. Link

[“AARP and Obamacare”]  AARP is a scam to milk the elderly. They sell you insurance that you think is at a special rate for old people, but it is the same price everywhere. They don’t even have insurance. They sell your policy to United Healthcare. They also bombard you with junk mail.

from the right
It had to happen. James Carville, Democrat gangster and soothsayer, in an interview with O’Reilly, blamed G.W. Bush for the current Syria dust up.

an_oil-earthOne of the prideful talking points of the Obama administration is the fact that we are producing more petroleum and exporting more petroleum than ever. What do you think, should they be bragging about it?

Please think about some stats recently released by Team Obama’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM).  The stats are pretty shocking and certainly lay waste to the notion that Obama has done a damn thing to increase petroleum production.  In fact, he and his have done just about all they could to stifle it. He refuses to OK the Keystone pipeline. It would be a job creator, would help in bringing down energy prices, and because of the exports would be a boon to our horrible balance of payments situation.  There is no down side to it.

Please think about the fact the number of new well bores on federal lands in the fiscal year ending in September of ’08, just before Obama, was 5044. Now fast forward to the FY ending in ’12. There were 3022, a 40% decrease.

In ’06 there were 4014 new leases on federal land, but by ’12 Team Obama had cut that to 1729, a 55 % decrease. Then there is the evidence that Team Obama is engaged in intentional slow walking of new permits even on private lands. Whatever increase is crude and gas production in the US began before he took office and is now in spite of Team Obama’s resistance.

Even the USDA’s Inspector General weighed in on the subject. They reported that Obama’s rules, policies, and actions, may be causing the federal government to lose revenue and and/or be preventing or delaying the efforts of the private sector to provide energy for all of us.

Have you gotten used to paying twice as much for gas than you did 4.5 years ago? I haven’t.

Look, we can become totally energy independent and we can become one of, if not the world’s largest exporter of petroleum, it goes without saying that were that to come to pass that our energy prices would plummet. All Team Obama has to do is get the hell out of the way. If that were to come to pass, we would have tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands new jobs, and our miserable balance of payments posture would be cured.

Part 2) A critic yesterday stated that I was flat wrong when I wrote that even though we had promised aid/weapons  to “moderate” Syrian rebels, we had not delivered any such aid/weapons.  I repeat, we have not honored our word that we would provide arms and aid to the Syrian rebels.
