Memorial Day isn’t a day of celebration, but one of solemn remembrance and gratitude. I’m full of gratitude today as we honor and remember those who gave their lives in pursuit of our health, safety and freedoms. And those families who lost their loved ones. Video

6 more cases of Covid-19 in the Keys. Is it really time to unlock the gate?

[$221 Plus Tax] First the KW Citizen stopped publishing on Mondays.  Now they have stopped the print edition on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  They cheerfully inform you that you can read the on-line edition either on a computer or phone.  Not everyone has or uses a computer; and reading an entire newspaper on a 3×5 inch phone screen is ridiculous.  Thanks KW Citizen. I’ll be letting my subscription lapse.

I thought I saved a lot of money by not going out, but I spent it all on Amazon. I watch Netflix and shop Amazon on my phone.

An abundance of TP will signal the end of the pandemic.

5G cellular service is being implemented in spite of documentation that trees are being defoliated on the side closest to the antennas and bees passing by are dropping dead. If you erroneously believe that cellphone frequencies have no effect on the human body, you might want to read this 120 page declassified CIA report. Link

[Learn By Example] The President isn’t wearing a mask, so why should I? Are they really ineffective?

[Covid-19 Restrictions Analysis] Generally speaking, the tighter the restrictions, the worse the results. 7 states did not issue stay at home orders, and these had some of the lowest mortality rates. (Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming). One state, South Dakota, took the least executive action and did not shut down anything, instead only issuing some recommendations rather than directives. South Dakota fared the best in mortality rate, with the lowest percentage. This site offers an analysis chart that allows you to sort the statistics by clicking on the column header.. It is updated daily., so see for yourself. Link
Always question authority.

[Movies] The actor Aaron Eckhart has an extra ass crack in his chin. Gerard Depardieu’s nose looks like a butt crack too.

Rendered beef fat is called tallow.
Rendered chicken fat is called schmaltz.
Rendered pig fat is called lard.

[Ethics] Pearls of wisdom from Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert comic strip: Reporters are faced with the daily choice of painstakingly researching stories or writing whatever people tell them. Both approaches pay the same. In the future, the most important career skill will be a lack of ethics.
That was written years ago. The ‘future’ is now.

[“turn these islands into the new Israel just like Boca Raton and the rest of Florida”] Deer Ed:  Would you have posted a similar comment if it targeted blacks? (Ed: In hindsight no. After re-reading that post I’m ashamed of myself.)

[Freedom] A powerful speech by President Ronald Reagan during his first Inaugural Address on January 20, 1981. Freedom Isn’t Free and if you take the time to listen to this I hope it’ll remind you of that. If I had ever heard “A Soldier’s Pledge” from World War One soldier Martin Treptow I had forgotten it so I enjoyed hearing it again. Video

Anyone going out to restaurants or bars better be tipping hard. You demanded they reopen. Now put your money where your mouth is.

[Litter] We are our own virus. We haven’t learned anything.

From PreparedForBear.com a preparedness website. Look for a new podcast coming the first week of June. Both are free. This is the proper way to remove and dispose of your PPE (It’s medical waste folks – do your part)
RULE#1 Don’t touch the front of your mask after it’s been worn, use the bands to take it off and put it on! Link
[Mixed Messaging] Everyone tells us something different. The politicians’ pretend doctors tell us to come out and play and the medical doctors tell us to stay home or die. I just don’t know who to believe. Everyone tells us something different. That’s the scary part because it means no one knows much about this virus or how we should protect ourselves and others.

Muslims
eat with their right hand and wipe their ass (without toilet paper or leaves) with their left. That’s why they never shake hands with their left hand. Yuk. How can you deal with someone like that and expect them to understand you? No wonder we lost the war.
[Nothing Is Worth War] In his essay “The Contest In America,” 19th century libertarian philosopher John Stuart Mill wrote, “War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. A man who has nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety is a miserable creature who has no chance at being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.” Happy belated Memorial Day!

[Stay-At-Home Boredom] Day 56:  The garbage man placed an AA flyer on my recycling bin.

[Free Food in Key Largo] In collaboration with Feeding South Florida, Monroe County, SOS Foundation and the Ocean Reef Community Foundation, United Way of Collier and the Keys announces that a free drive-through food distribution will take place at St. Justin Martyr Church (105500 Overseas Highway, Key Largo) on Thursday, May 28 from 12:00 to 2:00pm. Mangrove Mike’s will also be providing hot meals for carryout at the event. The food distribution is available to all who have lost income as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and multiple families may be represented in each vehicle.

[Private Property] America may be opening back up, but most of our land is still off-limits. Let’s change that. About 90 percent of the state of North Carolina is privately owned by people who — except where there are rights of way and easements — have the power to exclude. But I don’t mean to pick on North Carolina. Draconian trespass laws in all states prevent Americans from exploring their local woods, fields and waters. Link

[“Shoot any incoming Miami boats on their way down here”] Be careful those Miami folks are better armed than most armies.
[Editor Sucks] Deer Ed, What did you do? You post all the dreamer junk, but if someone posts realities you knock them down. The world is falling apart and some of your clients are telling the truth and trying to wake people up. They are living in fantasy lands and will not understand when it hits the fan! Thanks for posting my name. It worked. I’m history on this “blog”! Glade to hear that, right? (Ed: I don’t recall the post or you, but from the tone of this post you were probably trying to post some fake news or conspiracy dreams or tear someone down.)

Melania Trump has been exceptionally busy for the past four years serving as First Lady to the 45th U.S. President, Donald J. Trump. Link

By leaving a Microsoft Word document always open am I vulnerable to a hack?

[Mask vs Fart] If a fart can get through two butt cheeks, underwear and a pair of jeans do you really think that mask is going to protect you?

Wife: Did I get fat during ?
Husband: You weren’t really skinny to begin with.
Time of death: 11:00 pm, Cause of death: Coronavirus rage.

[Opening the Keys] It’s easy to say keep the Keys closed when you have a bank account with something in it and your car doesn’t need fixing.

[Movies] He had nose holes like an old car horn.
