Pork Chop Casserole |
|
Grease bottom or baking dish
Layer of sliced raw potatoes, 1/2 inch thick
Sprinkle with salt (optional)
Brown pork chops in frying pan; salt and pepper chops if
you wish
Place chops on top of potatoes
Fry onions until barely soft- use plenty because fried
onions are mild tasting
Spread onions evenly over chops and potatoes
Add 2 or 3 cans of tomato sauce and 1/2 can H2O, depending
on size of meal
Place in 350 degree oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hr, longer if chops
are thick.
This meal is even better on the second day, as leftovers,
so I suggest that you make as big a portion as your baking dishes and oven
will accommodate.
