Does anyone know anything about the rumor that Fish and Wildlife is going to donate a parcel of land to our community for a golf course to be built? Sure would be great for us and also good grazing for the deer. |

Hey check out the

They’re trying to start a new herd of Key Deer on Cudjoe an Sugarloaf in case there is an Act of God that destroys the Big Pine Herd. If the herd is destroyed it’s because it was meant to be. Stop trying to push nature. |

CNN’s Bill Hemmer doesn’t seem to have the credibility I’m looking for in a news reporter. He seems wishy-washy. |

might get your attention.

If you didn't know anything about this

I bought an annuity form New York Life where I could switch around my investment in their many mutual funds when one was making or losing money. The problem is that the funds don’t have trading symbols like their counterparts on the stock exchanges so I can’t track them to find how their doing. I don’t know what I’m doing in the first place and to be denied the opportunity to check on the funds’ current worth further hinders me from protecting my investment. I think it’s criminal and the FTC should investigate this denial of information. |

Did you know that our local politicians get to keep the money they raise during an election if they don’t spend it on the race. |

Schmuck is the part of the foreskin they throw away. I knew what they were calling me was bad, but not that bad. |
| 28 | The idea of liberating women is to establish their own money. 98% of the entire WORLD's property is male owned, male controlled. No sane woman wants to be seen as a sex object, intelligent women are equals or leave us alone! |
|
Monday October 27 2003 |
Liberated women: You work so hard not to be seen as a sex object; and before long you’re not seen at all. |
| 27 | The concept of 'plugged' canals is ridiculous. The canals in Cahill Palms and Pines were originally dug by developers to be open. Any where else in the US, they would be considered grand fathered in and that plug would be illegal. So why is that eroded 'plug' now 'customized' with a shit load of concrete bags, preventing all water flow necessary to keep the canal ecosystems healthy!!!??? Coverts were built for the canals in the Jolly Roger Estates subdivision in Little Torch to increase water flow for that very reason. Why does this community put up with such strong arm politics? Like on No name Key, such restrictions on property values are damaging and should be reversed by if not legal, then political intervention. Or perhaps, by a stick or two of dynamite!! |

Fantasy Fest Parade is tonight! |
| 25 | I see absolutely nothing wrong with a few hookers plying their trade on Key Deer Boulevard. After all we are a society of free enterprisers; and besides "You have to feed that thing and it's too far off the ground to eat grass". Besides that we don't have enough grass to begin with....Maybe if we had a golf course??? |

The Key West Power Boat race organizer is getting $85,000 of TDC money; $75,000 of which is to go for the APBA World Championship race sanctioning fee. The only catch is that the APBA World Championship race will be held the week before in Alabama. This means no sanctioning fee needed for K.W. Why is this renegade promoter getting any money at all, Bubba? |
| 23 | Riding down Key Deer Blvd. I noticed that the only girls who walk while continually looking over their shoulders are pre-pubescent girls and hookers. |

C-MON people!, Let's come up with something new besides the needing
anger management!, We ALL need anger management especially if your
going on and on about a golf course coming to Big Pine Key, You know
damn well nothing like that would come here. Your just starting shit
on this website to get people going! SO rethink the ISSUES and BAD
ATTITUDE crap! that’s why we all get on this sight, because that’s
all this community does is bitch, backstab and leave things the way
they are! God I do LOVE this town. Have a good day everyone!
|
| 22 | Since when are the names Arnold or Bruce considered sissy names? Sylvester? Yes, well, consider the weirdo mother. Yikes! |
| 22 | If anyone can find the land for a Golf Course I'll donate a little money to help get it going. If we all did that maybe we'd actually get something done around here. I moved here before we had a grocery store, US 1 Radio, Key Deer Blvd was gravel and you had to get on the roof to move the antenna around to get Miami on the TV. The Mosquitoes would carry you away and you could sleep on the highway without getting run over. All of you against change! If it wasn't for change you wouldn't be here! On with the Golf Course and by God a big Mac sounds pretty good to me too! |
| 22 | If Island land is so scarce for housing, why waste it on a golf course? Go to Hilton Head or Myrtle Beach and live a golfer's dream. |
|
Tuesday October 21 2003 |
The Cuban embargo would have been successful if those who imposed it (the Cuban-Miamians) didn't bring one billion dollars to that island on their frequent visits. They're the only ones allowed to visit the island and bring US dollars. |
| 21 |
Ok to all you Golf people that want a
Golf Course.. I saw an ad for some land Something like 14 acres
over on the water For Sale That would be a great place for a Golf
Course. If it is where I think it is it is mostly cleared and
possibly considered Resort Property. For the person wanting the Mall
you'd be better off over at the Flea Market.....
|
| 21 | The golf course idea sounds like a good idea, there is certainly plenty of vacant land that it doesn't look like anyone will be building on. What would really be cool would be to have a rifle range. It would probably be the only one in the Keys, unlike Walgreens (there are plenty of drugstores). |
| 21 | To the person/s who wrote admitting to their "ISSUES and BAD ATTITUDE" perhaps you should consider taking a course in anger management. After all, there is a positive outcry for a golf course within the community of BPK and as it applies in any democratic society the majority rules. regardless of the wishes of those in the minority who because of their "ISSUES and BAD ATTITUDE" hope to sway the opinions of the majority. Learn to live with it! |
|
Monday October 20 2003 |
I wonder why so many of our macho-he-man screens idols have sissy names like Arnold, Sylvester and Bruce. |
| 20 | I haven't checked Big Pine Key.com since Oct 8th. What happened? So much anger. It was enjoyable and food for thought before. Did everyone lose their sense of humor? Is someone else now selecting the emails for publication?? Disappointed. |
| 20 | When was the last time Bush spent HIS OWN MONEY for anything.......also, has he ever wanted for anything????????? |
| 20 | The terms public restroom and bathroom are misnomers. People don't go there to rest or bath. They go for relief. The names should be changed to RELIEF ROOMS. |
|
Sunday October 19 2003 |
The Bay of Pigs invasion was launched from No Name Key and from Seacamp on Coupon Bight. And we still can't go to Cuba! |
| 19 | Well, God Bless the whales, but they're gone now. Why are we now fenced out of the "swimming hole?" I'm getting pretty peeved at the continual moves to fence the public out of public property. That used to be a great place for a sheltered dip or to launch your kayak or dinghy for a channel tour. What's the deal here? |
| 19 | I think a nice tract of land in the middle of the island away from traffic and mangroves would be a great place for a Golf Course. There wouldn't be any highway clutter, just lots of open green space and grazing land for the Key Deer. Maybe if you just relaxed and enjoyed a leisurely stroll across the greens it would do a lot for your BAD ATTITUDE and that alone would make our quaint little island a more pleasant place to live! |
| 19 | Lets give credit where credit is due. Bush is working as hard as he can to put middle class American's in the poor house. Bush is doing everything possible to make the White US population the minority in America. |
|
Saturday October 18 2003 |
You get a Golf Course we get a
Mall. Why don't you just keep your Balls somewhere else. Remember
we don't want our Quaint little Island ruined by traffic or kill any
freekin Mangroves and ya need a extra permit for the fence. But by
god the golf carts sure wont exceed the freekin speed limit. O
and by the way can we get more homeless folks to live beside it.
Maybe the Winn Dixie crew will move to it. YES, I KNOW I HAVE
ISSUES. And a BAD Attitude.
|
| 18 | In case anyone missed it, Walgreen's filed an appeal to the Planning Commission decision re replacing Scotty's on Big Pine Key -- they waited until the very last minute (hoping no one would notice?) -- big chain stores don't operate the way most of us do -- out in the open. This is the first step in the Kendalization of Big Pine Key -- we will look like every other strip mall in every other town and spoil what makes BPK special |
| 18 |
You can put three of the best rock musicians together and no one will want to hear more than a few tunes from them, but add a good singer and they’ll be going on tour. The human voice it the finest instrument. |

Have any of you fine folks visited the
Square Grouper? I had lunch there the other day and it was great.
I love the Idea of the Claw foot Tub and there was a Beautiful Tall
Tropical Flower display. What a nice addition to the Cudjoe area.
|
| 17 | To the person who wrote regarding a golf course. It seems to me this is what is desperately needed on BPK. Why in the world should the citizens of this Key, even though they may be part-time residents, find it necessary to drive to Key west or elsewhere to enjoy the pleasures they consider normal in their home State. After all we are, primarily, an island of vacationers for the most part and think of the revenue such an enterprise would generate. I for one would be interested in investing and relish the efforts throughout the licensing procedure to reach completion and enjoy the fruits of that labor. |

When the Cuban dictator Baptista was overthrown, supporters of his regime came to America and conducted acts of terrorism against the new regime from here. I see a similarity in Iraq with US occupation. |

Who thinks the NY ferry accident was maybe another terrorist act? Where was the captain from? Why cut his wrists and shoot himself? |

I'm reminded of this quote every time I watch a BOCC meeting.
Unnecessary laws are not good laws, but traps for money
|
| 16 | Someone should tell the KW Citizen that the funnies go on the LAST page. |
| 16 |
The Constitution is not
hearsay. It is not a bunch of legal myths passed along by word of
mouth. It is not a depository for judicial delusions and
ideological pipe dreams. It is not a figment of some justice’s
Marxian imagination. It is a written document - a legally binding
contract whose words, spirit and intent are clear.

| 16 | Now that Arnold is gov of California, maybe Ca will fund the stem cell research that wimpy Bush nixed. We need cures for diseases! |
| 15 | Apparently Kip Watson has had more surgery to remove another cancer in his jaw and tongue. |
| 15 | Load the old rusty trailers on a navy ship, sink them at sea to create another artificial reef. Clean up the islands. Give the stateside military something to do with their big boy toys. |
|
Tuesday October 14 2003 |
Does anybody know the medical condition of Kip Watson? |
| 14 | The photo of the man lighting hundreds of cigarettes at one time... he's not too smart is he? Why is he wearing the baseball cap backwards, can't he find his face? |
| 14 | Does anyone know WHY the aliens get $7,000.00 handed to them free by the US government when they come here? Is that per child? US citizens don't get $7,00.00! |
| 14 |
This is in response to the
Bush/subsidies to farmers and steel industry writer.
Are you ranting about subsidies (which
equate to U.S. tax dollars going to American farmers and American
"smoke stack" industries) or are you ranting about U.S. tax dollars
not going to your foreign country of choice?
|
| 14 | Living free and living with freedom is two different issues. Somebody needs to tell the illegal aliens that. No more food stamps, no more free medical. American's come first! |
|
Monday October 13 2003 |
Bush also increased subsidies for farmers and big steel eliminating competition in out “free market”. Arab terrorists killed the Israeli Olympic team. Arab terrorists blew up the World Trade Center. Coincidence? Our Friends? |

Hi everyone,
Would you all please go to my website at

at the bottom of the main page there's a link to vote for my site
for a Diamond web award. If I could impose on you to help me get it

Thanks a bunch...love to all of you!

| 12 | Where does Arnold stand on illegal aliens? |
| 12 | To the Canadian who wants chain stores on Big Pine Key... I'm with you! Let's have a Tim Horton's Donuts on every corner. Let's challenge Canada for the title "Donut Capital of the world" It'll also give our over abundance of cops a place to go rather than hanging out in packs on the side of the road. |
| 12 | A man who loved to film and spend time with Grizzly Bears was killed by one- along with his girlfriend. They refused to take a gun for protection. Does the law really need to step in and make such dumb behavior illegal? |
| 12 | People are not hysterical about corporations. It is simply a better atmosphere with mom & pop small town stores. Ever heard of authentic, one-of-a-kind, or being creative & original? |
|
Saturday October 11 2003 |
This is national fire prevention week or something which reminds me that there would be less fires if smoke alarms had a reset button. When they go off (from cooking or construction dust) you can’t turn them off. I usually rip it off the wall and stomp on it; and don’t replace it. |
| 11 |
You people are hysterical, any word with "corporation" in it (I.e.-
incorporation), just freaks you out!! I could just see you now...
turning all red, hyperventilating, hives popping out everywhere,
blood vessels bulging out, and finally turning green and smashing
everything in site!! Just too funny!!!
|
| 11 | For someone that says "money is no object"- haven't you heard of the power of advertising? This is not a format for free advertising, hire an advertising consultant. People in the Keys do not like "chains". |
|
Friday October 10 2003 |
To the Canadian franchise person: I want to know if its cheap prescription drugs they want to franchise here. I’m all for it. It would be nice if Walgreen’s didn’t come here and Eckerd’s sold cheap prescription drugs. |
| 10 | Was that querie about franchising in BP-- sarcasm? |
| 10 |
To the person seeking info on franchising., This website cost money
to run, if money is no object why are you seeking information for
free???
|
| 10 | I see concept "Incorporation" reared it's ugly head again in your pages yesterday. It puts shivers thru me... |
|
Thursday October 9 2003 |
CNN reported last night that a Grocery store owner won re-election as mayor of Key West, Fla. |
| 9 |
To whomever this may concern: I have three Fast Food franchises in Canada and am looking to broaden my horizons. Would Big Pine Key or a Key in close proximity be a welcome place to do business? If so, I would appreciate any comments you might be in a position to offer. Money is no object. Please reply through this web address. I look forward to your advice and thank you in advance. |
| 9 | To the person who has an illegal alein working for them... don't you will know where your tax money goes- for the illegal's food stamps and free health care. They don't pay taxes. Not such cheap labor after all, huh? You are destroying the US for future Americans. |
| 9 |
Campers question, you must mean Seacamp..
|
| 9 | The chain store situation on BPK could have been taken care of several years ago, with incorporation. Seems to me the same people that were happy with county rule then are now against chain stores. Just goes to shows, what goes around....... |
|
Wednesday October 8 2003 |
Now that the Montego Bay property is for sale, do you think another national chain will buy it and degrade our island atmosphere? |
| 8 | Bush wants our US billions for Iraq, yet he nixed federal spending on stem-cell research. So, the welfare, health and cures for terminal illness for Americans is of no concern to Bush. |

For the person looking to get to Fantasy Fest. Sunset Taxi 872-4233. Anywhere is a good place to watch the parade. |

Tuesday October 7 2003 |
I have an illegal alien working for me who's smart, cheap, sober, doesn't complain, reliable and hard working. Where can I find someone like that in the keys with a green card? |
| 7 | I'm with you...let's spend that 80 billion down payment for Iraq infrustructure on our own crumbling infrastructure. They could start by paving Key Deer blvd. |
| 7 | The women who are complaining about Arnold 20 years after the "fact" must be mad he didn't date them. He can grab my ass anytime! |
| 7 | I just voted for Arnold. |
| 7 | Arnold deserves to win. He is self-made, not a sniveling spoon-fed spoiled daddy's boy. I believe Arnold is concerned with the common working class, not just the society snots. |
|
Monday October 6 2003 |
Re: Arnold. My wife from Austria used to praise Hitler because of his many accomplishments; never realizing that all those accomplishments were done with slave labor. They don’t teach real history in Germany. I suspect Arnold had the same education. |
| 6 | Instead of worrying about who mows the grass or who paints their homes, why not worry about how many ILLEGALS are living in all these homes? Get priorities straight! |
| 6 | 'FEMA SUCKS' |
| 6 | Complaints about BPK women include being fat, and having no teeth. So, how do they eat? Are the BPK men crusty throwbacks to the 60's hippy days? The only shoes they own are flip-flops. And... you expect Miss America? |
| 6 | North Carolina DOES have building codes, why, you need a permit just to use the toilet on the coastal real estate! The builders buy all the coastal land they can find, and build as near to water as possible. When an individual buys land, it's another story- setbacks galore! Just like the crooked politics everywhere else. For the record, I'd rather US funds be spent in the US than in Iraq ANY DAY! |
|
Sunday Oct 5 2003 |
Q: What do you get if you put six Big Pine Women
in a room? |
| 5 | I certainly understand the necessity of building codes for structural work or anything necessary for public safety and of course a follow up with code enforcement if necessary but these code violations that make you a criminal for painting your house, mowing your neighbors grass or doing any kind of decorative work over $1000.00 are ridiculous. These are only ways for the county government to assess more taxes and they have their henchmen and women out there to enforce their law. |
| 5 |
So why are our feet held to the fire on the building codes when
North Carolina and a number of other states that suffer yearly
catastrophe allowed to build where ever they like and then rebuild
year after year at the taxpayers expense. I just don't get it!
|
| 5 | Now FEMA is telling people in Va Beach area they DO NOT qualify for relief in rebuilding their lost homes (due to the hurricane) unless that home was their primary residence. That Sucks! |
|
Saturday October 4 2003 |
RE: Arnold. My wife said she was groped 27 years ago and giggled and ran. Says she wouldn't mind it now though. |
| 4 | I have been told that there is a educational camp located in Big Pine Key for 8th grade middle school students to go to. I would like the information that you have on exactly what is available for this. |
| 4 |
DAAAA Dude,
How old are you??! You have WAY to much time on your hands, You
might want to think about being a history teacher!! You have such
pasion!! See how stupid this is!! Have a good day... PEACE
|
| 4 |
I know nobody likes code enforcement.
everybody complains. How many of you realize code enforcement is
doing what FEMA is mandating they do. Code enforcement gets alot of
bad rap where the person that interprets the FEMA mandated code
doesn't get the credit she is due. We are under the federal
government guidelines we are being forced to live with because
somebody reads the national FEMA codes the way they want to. Give
credit where credit is due. If we didn't have building codes, with
every catagory 1 hurricane we get, we'd be in the same mess the
outer banks in North Carolina are in right now instead of only
suffering a bit of water and a few trees down.

Friday October 3 2003 |
Well Dude!!! it all starts somewhere doesn't it. Nazi Germany didn't start out as murderers, just control freaks! It's a good example of what can happen. They also had lots of officials with little balls clearing the way for the big guys. Have to run and worship the Devil..... Geez!!! |
| 3 |
To the person writing back to the person comparing the county to
nazi camp, You were doing so well until " you may worship the Devil
if you so choose." You totally made your comment unvalued and just
as stupid as there's!! GEEZ!!
|
| 3 | Utah has been the land of the Mormons for 200 years,12 to 19 children from one man with multiple related wives. Not only was this an attempt to populate the new territory with Mormons, how self-serving & nasty on the men's part (No longer legal). I'm not surprised if this was a haven of bankruptcy. If you cannot afford to have a child, then DON'T have a child. Especially 19 children! |

Thursday October 2 2003 |
This center reflects what bad shape
Amerikka is in...prostitute politicians who do nothing about illegal
immigration because they want their votes after they give 'em
drivers' licenses. While illegals get all the freebies, our veterans
wait over a year at the few and far between VA clinics. Homeowners,
rather than enjoying the American dream, fight the Nazi nightmare in
the form of the SS Code Enforcement. Where did CE come from?? Vote
it OUT! Lawyers are suing every business in the country, forcing
them overseas, while Wal-Mart moves in and kills Mom & Pop places,
to no tax advantage to the community at all. Every time someone boo-hoos,
a law gets passed, usually stepping on others' property rights. We
are bombarded by false advertising, junk science and the politically
correct crappola, usually in the name of the "children". We are
doomed. God help America, land of the Meee!
|
| 2 |
In response to comparing Monroe County
to Nazi Germany,...............dude get a grip! You obviously don't
have a clue what Nazi Germany was all about. Your ridiculous
metaphor belittles genocide, and gives Monroe Co officials much
bigger balls than they will ever have.
Please sir/madam don't compare such
awful moments in history with the inconvenience of needing permits
to improve your home in which you may worship the Devil if you so
choose! Geez!
|
