Has anyone taken a dip in their canal in recent months? Mine has become completely unswimmable thanks to all sorts of muck that floats up from the bottom. That, along with the smell of fresh sewage keeps me from even putting a toe in the water. And some people think that we don't need sewer upgrades...

We just discovered this Web site, which Big Pine has needed for a long time! How about installing a Webcam at the flea market? Or where the Key Deer hang out? Or inside No Name Pub?

Sea lice are not fun! 4 days of swollen lymph nodes and an oozing itchy rash is what I dealt with. Oh well, I think that they are gone now. By the way, for those who don't know, sea lice are actually the larvae of thimble jellyfish and they only come around once a year...

Thursday May 29	Why is it that lazy-ass parents won't bring their children to the pool? The children stand at the pool fence for hours begging to enter, sorry not without someone to watch them. I ended up watching seven children (none my own) today because the lazy stay-at-home moos wouldn't get off their fat asses & act like a parent. Good grief!

All you do is tie up and pull yourself down its line to the deck. Once your there it’s spectacular. The fish are big and plentiful. The encrustation on the vast hull and visual scope are dazzling. 2	In regards to the person writing about helping whales years ago, please get your facts straight. 2 of the 4 pilot whales lived, one "Elvis" was very sick and died, and one, "Dennis" died after inhaling silt from the bottom of the lagoon in shallow water playing, All 4 would have died without human intervention.

May2	You're right, liberals DO inhabit the coast. Conservatives ARE mainland. Boring conservatives have no stress relief (like the ocean), they can't handle their own pent-up anxiety- so they end up in everyone's business, telling everyone else why, what, where & how they "should be" living. 1	I helped keep a whale afloat some years ago on Big Pine. One of the offspring died from us confining it. The rest died anyway. Excuse me, one survived. From that and other experiences I figured that we interfere with nature because it makes us feel good.
